    • Registry Keys for Display Drivers

      When a run-time image contains a display driver, it is loaded by GWES at system startup.

      By default, GWES loads a driver named Ddi.dll. To change the name of the default display driver, use the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\Drivers\Display registry key to override the default display driver DLL name.

      The registry key should be placed in your Platform.reg file.

    • Microsoft says the letters instead imply a number of Windows CE design precepts, including “Compact, Connectable, Compatible, Companion, and Efficient.
    • Microsoft has stated that the “CE" is not an intentional initialism, but many people believe CE stands for “Consumer Electronics" or “Compact Edition".
    • The (DLNA) is a non-profit collaborative trade organization established by Sony in June 2003, that is responsible for defining interoperability guidelines to enable sharing of digital media between consumer devices such as computers, printers, cameras, cell phones, and other multimedia devices.
